What is Ketosis

What Exactly Ketosis Is?
Ketosis is a metabolic state in which your body is deficient in glucose concentration and therefore, the stored fats are converted into energy. The fats in your body are burned into useful energy and as a result, acids called ketones are produced in the body.
Under normal conditions, glucose is the body’s primary source of energy. People usually get glucose from various sources such as milk, juices, or other starchy foods. The glucose is then broken down into simple sugar by the body. It is then either stored as glycogen in muscles and liver or used as fuel by the body.
However, if there is a deficiency of glucose in your body, there are alternatives to obtain energy from. The body utilizes the stored fats and converts them into useful energy. As a result, acids called ketones are build up in the body which leaves the body in urine. Ketones in the urine is a sign that fats in your body are being burned down into energy.
