Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, the bollywood superstars, fell in love with each other during the shooting of their film, Tashan. Saif Ali Khan was the first to express his feelings. He proposed Kareena Kapoor many times but she wanted more time to think over it before saying yes.

Kareena and Saif are one of the best couples in Indian Film Industry. Both are equally successful in their Bollywood career, even though both have quite a different lifestyle from each other. Saif Ali Khan likes reading while Kareena Kapoor enjoys going to different parties and is known as the gossip queen. Both came close to each other on the sets of Tashan and got married four years later. Before Tashan movie, they also have featured in two films, Omkara and LOC Kargil but, it was the Tashan movie that brought them together. Kareena Kapoor was troubling with her career before Tashan movie but after this movie, she gained momentum.

Kareena Kapoor in her Humans of Bombay Post said that Saif caught me when I thought that I was just going to fall. I had met Saif before Tashan but I don’t know something changed during Tashan. I found him very attractive and I fell hook, line, and sinker for him. I still remember we used to go on long bike rides and enjoy the beauty of nature, had great gossips and memories whenever we had some free time during the shooting in Ladakh and Jaisalmer. I just found myself bound to Saif. Saif’s love helped me to love and heal myself, said Kareena Kapoor.

Saif also talked about the subject of the wedding during the shooting of this movie but I refused and said no. I didn’t reject his proposal but I wanted some time, said Kareena Kapoor. Saif proposed Kareena Kapoor twice, first time at a bar and the next time at Notre Dame Church. The city where Saif proposed Kareena was the same city where his father Mansoor Ali Khan also had proposed his mother Sharmila Tagore. About this, Kareena Kapoor in Vogue BFFs show revealed that Saif proposed me some months after we met in Paris. The site was the same where his father had proposed his mother.

On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan announced his love for Kareena publicly. He wrote Kareena’s name on his forearm in Hindi letters. He was first seen with this tattoo in 2008, the year in which Tashan was released.

Kareena’s Mother Reaction

Kareena’s mother Babita also agreed after Kareena finally accepted his proposal. Saif on this occasion said to her mother that I cannot drop Kareena home every night and I want to spend my whole life with Kareena. On this, Bobita agreed on their marriage as well.
